Tell me again of that story about a boy
although I won't promise to listen
you provide too much of a distraction.
You can blame it on my stupidity
or reckless abandon of my senses
I prefer to call it foolish romance.
I've been wondering whether you've been noticing
but it's not like anywhere you stand
would be of benefit to me anymore than
my own ears have been to me,
because I haven't been listening.
